PDX Thread Collective Clothing Swap
Join PDX Thread Collective (formerly the Portland hub of Remake) for our 2nd annual gathering at PNW Climate Week in Portland - a clothing swap! Perhaps you're tired of buying new, or want to lighten your load, we have the right place for you to swap with others to divert clothing from ending up in the landfill.
Extending the life of an item of clothing by an extra nine months has the potential to reduce its carbon, water and waste footprint by 20-30%. An action we will absolutely be making possible.
All leftover clothing will be donated to Celilo Village's Back to School Event that supports Native youth and their families.
More details to come, including a potential speaker about textile waste and what we can do about it.
