Bringing your own knives
You can bring your own knives from home to have them sharpened, or sharpen them yourself with instruction. It just takes a few minutes, and it's free!
Please mind the following rules if you decide to bring your own knife:
Keep your knife wrapped safely in your bag at all times unless it's actively being worked on. Wrapping it in a few layers of paper towels and securing it with a rubber band works well.
Max 3 knives per attendee. If there is high demand, you might only get to sharpen one.
While it might be exciting to try out your newly sharpened knife right away - please refrain from doing so inside the Commons.
Additional Information
The event is open-end to make sure every attendee gets a chance to try it out, but we'll try hard to stick to the one hour duration.
Yes, the knives at the Commons will be sharp after this event.
