Creative Frontiers: Bandcamp + DEATHPIXIE
Join us for the next Creative Frontiers Session featuring Dan Melnick, General Manager of Bandcamp, and Adrian Karvinen, co-creator of virtual artist DEATHPIXIE.
Dan Melnick leads Bandcamp, an online record company and music community that uses technology to empower artists through direct-to-fan tools, human curation, and “superfan” features. He’ll also give an exclusive preview of his latest venture: a new AI-powered tool for artists.
Adrian Karvinen helped bring DEATHPIXIE—a human-led AI artist—to life. What began as a concept project has since surpassed 30M+ streams and debuted live at Red Rocks with Deadmau5.
Both will share their experiences and insights on the future of music, live performance, and fandom.

About Creative Frontiers Sessions
A new technological era in music is unfolding—fast and full of promise. Yet the ground remains uneven, with fresh tools, fuzzy rules, and open questions about authenticity, consent, and credit. The Abundance Institute’s Creative Frontiers Sessions bring together artists, builders, and policy shapers to chart tomorrow through live demos, candid conversations, and practical ways to make the most of what’s next on the frontiers of creativity.
Co-hosted by The Abundance Institute and The Recording Club, this session explores AI, authorship, superfans, and what it means to stay human in a machine-accelerated studio. Come for the insights; stay for the company and the open bar.
