About Event

From consumer apps to global enterprises, explore how AI is tackling multilingual challenges at different scales! Hear more about the unexpected hurdles, creative solutions, and real-world impact of AI-powered multilingual applications across vastly different contexts. (Technical Level: 100)

More About the Sharings

  • Benjamin (Senior Assistant Director, National AI Group) will showcase a POC Translation API developed with the Translation Department. See how this tool learns from existing translations to sound authentically Singaporean, and discover how it could potentially integrate into everyday government workflows like email and chatbots. Join this quick demo to see the system in action and share your thoughts on how translation tools could better serve public officers.

  • Fiachra will share how he built Zhiyin: Learn Mandarin with Music, an iOS app helping users grow their vocabulary through songs with synced Chinese, pinyin, and English lyrics. As a non-technical product designer, he vibecoded the entire app using Claude Code, growing it to over 900 TestFlight users by building in public. He'll explore using TikTok for both marketing and A/B testing design choices through 3 million+ views, and share what it takes to build an app from scratch with AI—balancing speed with patience, breaking complex problems into manageable parts, and applying the discernment and vision needed to guide a project successfully.

  • Hear more about "Tone, Trust & Tiongkok: Lessons from STB’s GenAI Translation Pilot". Learn more about how the Singapore Tourism Board experimented with GenAI to translate public-facing tourism content across platforms. From beta-testing with native speakers to building a human-in-the-loop workflow, Jeremy and Edward will walk through the real-world challenges, unexpected learnings, and risk mitigations behind deploying GenAI in a government context.

  • Daphne (Founder, Bluente) will share more about Bluente, an AI-powered document translation platform - translating files in 120+ languages while keeping the format the same. Bluente's platform has been used by more than 80+ enterprises globally, saving them 70% of time and 90% of costs.

  • More to come soon, keep a lookout! 👀
