About Event

Kiseau, a hormone-conscious intimates brand innovating clean, next-to-skin apparel for a healthier future is partnering with The Health Café and pilates instructor Vanessa Tiiu for Toronto Climate Week to host a different kind of movement experience.

The Pilates Challenge

Show up wearing only natural fabrics. No polyester, no nylon, no spandex. Just cotton, linen, wool, and materials that come from the earth instead of a refinery.

During class, we'll invite you to tune into your somatic experience. Notice how your clothes feel against your skin, your breath, your body's response.

Then stay for an open roundtable where we unpack it together: What worked, what didn't, and what it would take to make natural activewear the norm rather than the exception. A conversation about personal health and planetary health in the same breath.

Most activewear is made from petroleum-based synthetics that sit directly against the body's most hormonally sensitive skin, all class long. These fabrics shed microplastics into waterways every time they're washed and contain chemical finishes linked to endocrine disruption. Yet they dominate 90% of the activewear market.

We think that's worth questioning, on your mat and beyond.

What To Expect

A 45-minute pilates class led by Vanessa Tiiu, followed by a 45-minute open roundtable discussion guided by Nethmie Hetti, Founder of Kiseau. Light refreshments and wellness goodie bags provided for all attendees. After the roundtable, meet Nethmie in person and experience the Kiseau collection firsthand. Touch, feel, and ask the questions behind the brand building next-to-skin clothing from the earth up.

About the Hosts: Nethmie Hetti | Founder, Kiseau

The intimates and activewear industry has a dirty secret: almost everything sitting next to your skin is made from petroleum. Nethmie Hetti founded Kiseau to change that. Built around women's hormonal health, Kiseau makes next-to-skin intimates from non-toxic and natural materials that work with the body, not against it. Every touchpoint in Kiseau's supply chain asks the same question: is this actually good for us?

Vanessa Tiiu | Owner, The Health Cafe

What is health? What is wellness? What is fitness? And more importantly, what does it mean to you? We all have our own idea of what these three simple words mean, but in short, they help define what it is to live your best life. Vanessa Tiiu started The Health Cafe to be a safe space for women to learn about health, wellness and fitness and grow in their journey. We aim to inspire, educate, motivate and cultivate self-growth. From our weekly fitness classes at our downtown location to our monthly events to foster deeper connections and growth, if you're looking for intimate fitness within a busy city, you've found it.
