About Event

Meet Jaron Brandon, a California politician running for California Senate District 4, which spans from Mammoth to Tahoe. If he wins, he will represent over a million people. Currently, he acts as a Join Students for Abundance at Berkeley for a panel discussion on abundance in rural California, featuring Jaron Brandon

Jaron Brandon is a County Supervisor for Tuolumne County and a candidate for California Senate District 4, which spans from Mammoth to Tahoe and represents over a million people. In his role as supervisor, he has worked to house the homeless population and push for clean energy infrastructure. At Friday's event, we will discuss what it looks like to be a progressive politician in rural America, how he addresses bureaucratic red tape when it comes to building for abundance, and how he balances his constituents' rural ideology with bigger picture goals like addressing the climate crisis.

We'll then turn to his vision for District 4. How does he plan to translate the hands-on lessons of county governance into meaningful housing and energy policy at the state level?

Finally, we will have 20 minutes dedicated to open questions from the audience.

Spots are limited, RSVP soon!
