Entrepreneurship Roundtable: Mabel Loh
βποΈββοΈ Building Emotional AI for Women: Inside an AI-Native Wellness Startup
About the Session
βLeaving behind a traditional career path, Mabel Loh began building what she saw missing in wellness: an emotionally intelligent companion designed by women, for women. While most wellness products prioritize metrics, streaks, and dashboards, Mabel focused on empathy, memory, and presence, especially when motivation runs low.
βAfter losing over 45kg (100lbs) and rebuilding her relationship with food, fitness, and self-worth, Mabel founded AMFIT, a holistic wellness coaching platform supporting women from the inside out. But coaching had a hard limit. She could not be there 24/7. That constraint became the catalyst for Maibel.
βMaibel is an emotionally intelligent wellness companion designed to feel supportive rather than prescriptive. No points. No leaderboards. Just daily micro-actions and judgment-free conversations. The first MVP ran on Telegram and achieved 100 percent user completion, highlighting a core insight in wellness: people stay for connection, not data.
βMabel now frames this work as Emotional Companionship as a Service, or ECaaS. Infrastructure for empathy, built to support consistency through connection rather than control.
βIn this Entrepreneurship Roundtable, Mabel will share an honest look into her founder journey, from leaving her day job to building as a solo founder, navigating femtech, and rethinking how emotional AI can drive real engagement.
