Tentative Agenda

  • 5:00 pm: Networking

  • 5:55 pm: Welcome & Community Announcements

  • 6:05 pm: Sponsor Presentation from Vonage

    • Speaker: Liz Acosta, Developer Advocate at Vonage

  • 6:20 pm: From ER Nurse to AI Engineer: Building Real Healthcare AI Systems with RAG & Agents

    • Speaker: Senay Yakut, Full-Stack Engineer

    • Description:

Most AI engineers building healthcare tools have never seen a patient. I have — as an ER nurse in pediatric, cardiac, and internal medicine settings.

In this talk, I'll walk through a real clinical problem I tackled: building an AI-powered clinical decision support system using RAG, GPT-4, and FastAPI. I'll show how retrieval-augmented generation makes healthcare AI safer and more trustworthy — and share what clinical domain knowledge changes about how you design these systems.

The session is practical and code-driven. Attendees will leave with a concrete understanding of how to build healthcare AI that actually works in real clinical contexts — not just in demos.

  • 6:40 pm: AI and Healthcare: Live Demo

    • Speaker: Mansi More, AI Developer and Devrel

    • Description:

This session will be about how people will use AI in healthcare through examples in a real Google Cloud console environment. It will cover three main areas:

      • Image Analysis: using Gemini to analyze a chest X-ray and extract medical insights

      • Video Analysis: prompting Gemini with a lung animation video

      • Text Prompts: zero/one/few-shot prompting, summarization, Q&A, and classification

  • 7:05 pm: Py for Nature

    • Speaker:  Manisha Priyadarshini, Co-Founder of ProgramEarth

    • Description:

What if a map could update itself as ecosystems change and actually help guide restoration decisions in real time? Using Python inside QGIS, we automate everything from watershed mapping to layering biodiversity and sensor data, turning complex environmental signals into something you can see and act on instantly. It’s how we transform mapping from a static tool into a living system for understanding and regenerating landscapes.

  • 7:30 pm: Networking

  • 8:00 pm: End of Event
