Craft your WOW one-liner to unlock revenue & investment in 2026
Like most founders, you're hustling all the time and eager to tell people — especially investors and customers — what you're building. But what happens when your opening line sounds like gobbledygook?
Your IRL conversation at an event or cold email likely starts with something that makes sense to you...but your intended audience can't follow it. The first sentence might be too long or too complex — or bloated with jargon and buzzwords.
That kind of opener almost always closes the door on opportunity.
The reason: nobody wants to spend the time or brain cycles figuring out what you do, especially if they can't see what's in it for THEM. The way you describe your business has to be clear and spark curiosity.
