CivicTechWR Pitch Night! with guest speaker Eric Lombardi
CivicTechWR is a community group that brings together people from different sectors and backgrounds to actively solve civic challenges in our local community using design and technology.
People of all backgrounds and skill levels are welcome to participate!
Tonight we have a double feature:
Project pitches for Season 8
Each season we take on a new roster of projects alongside community partners to develop over the course of 16 weeks. If you have a civic tech project idea, this is the time to pitch it! Pitches are 5 minutes (3 min presentation + 2 mins Q&A) and there will be time afterwards for in-depth discussions in the breakout groups.
Guest speaker Eric Lombardi
Eric is a finance and technology entrepreneur turned civic builder, and a leading voice on housing reform, institutional renewal, and economic opportunity for Ontario's next generation.
In 2021 he founded More Neighbours Toronto to confront Ontario's housing crisis. He is the chair of Build Toronto, the Toronto chapter of Build Canada, a national movement backed by civic and entrepreneurial leaders focused on growth and stronger institutions. Currently he is exploring a run for Ontario Liberal Leader.

6:15 - 6:40 PM: Guest speaker Eric Lombardi (15 minute presentation, 10 minute Q&A)
6:40 - 7:15 PM: Project Pitches
7:15 – 8:00 PM: Breakout groups
8:00 PM - late: Wrap up + optional post-hacknight hangout
