The Future of Film: Human Storytelling in the Age of AI
Join Future of Entertainment Alliance, supported by TAILORU, for a panel discussion in Midtown Manhattan exploring how artificial intelligence is transforming filmmaking, from script to screen. From generative tools that can storyboard, edit, and render visual effects, to agentic AI systems that can manage entire stages of production, this conversation brings filmmakers and technologists together to ask what it means to tell stories on screen in an era of intelligent machines.
Meet directors, producers, and industry leaders as we examine how AI is reshaping every stage of production, what it means for the writers, crew, and creatives who bring films to life, and why protecting human authorship and craft has never been more important. We'll look at where the technology is going, the safeguards the industry needs, and how human storytellers can prepare to lead the way.
Our panel will discuss:
How AI and agentic tools are changing film production, from writing to editing and visual effects
What it means to be a filmmaker when machines can generate scripts, scenes, and performances
Who owns AI-generated work, and how to protect performers, writers, and creative identity in the age of synthetic media
The responsible AI and safety practices that should guide filmmaking's future
How human creatives can prepare for, and shape, this transition
Plus much more!

About TAILORU
TAILORU is a collective of 40+ builders, designers, and educators who work at the intersection of AI and human expertise — helping companies build real AI product and capability without losing sight of the humanity behind the work. We’re proud to support the Future of Entertainment Alliance to sharpen the questions: How do you use AI to power human creativity instead of sanding it down? How do you make sure humanity remains at the center of the creative process as AI capabilities improve? We don’t think that’s a given — it’s a choice everyone will have to make deliberately; day-by-day, shot by shot, emotion by emotion. Our mission is to show up and support the people who tell untold stories and make the unimaginable feel inevitable.
