Sewing 102- Adults- Learn How to Sew a Lined MakeUp Pouch with Zipper
Join us at HarperSage for our next beginner-friendly sewing workshop, led by Ellie of No Clue Threads. This beginner-friendly sewing workshop is designed for adults who want to learn how to sew in a fun, supportive environment while creating a practical, polished project. Participants will be guided step-by-step through the basics of machine sewing while making their own lined makeup bag featuring a zipper closure and soft structure using fusible fleece.
Because this is a small class with only 6 spots available, each participant will receive plenty of individualized instruction, hands-on guidance, and support throughout the project.
We’ll cover foundational sewing skills like threading a sewing machine, sewing straight seams, working with lining fabric, installing a zipper, creating boxed corners, and using fusible fleece to add structure — perfect for true beginners with no prior sewing experience.
All materials are provided and we have 5 sewing machines available for use! However, participants are also welcome to bring their own fabric if they have a favorite print they’d love to use. We encourage bringing your own sewing machine if you have one!
By the end of class, participants will leave with a finished makeup bag, new sewing skills especially with zipeprs, and the confidence to keep creating on their own.
