ReBuilt Open Exhibition
As part of Open Langa 2025, when King Langalibalele Drive is transformed into a car-free street for the day, the ReBuilt Open Exhibition invites the public to experience a living demonstration of regenerative design in Langa.
Presented by Bauhaus Earth with 16 on Lerotholi, the Lerotholi Food Garden, the SA Urban Food & Farming Trust, the Masakhe Foundation, and the Food Indaba, the exhibition showcases a new kind of “Transformation Lab” — a community-built pavilion connecting art, food, and sustainable construction.
Visitors can explore the courtyard between 16 on Lerotholi and the Lerotholi Food Garden, meet the team behind the project, and see how bio-based materials and circular design are being used to reimagine how we build and live together in Cape Town’s oldest township.
