About Event

Hosted in partnership with Paris Vivianne Panigiri
📍 Zoku Amsterdam | Amsterdam Oost
🗓 Sunday, February 22
🕛 12:30–15:00

Join us for a slow, tactile afternoon of clay and quiet expression as we explore florals as a symbolic language through hand built ceramics. Drawing inspiration from folk and botanical forms, this workshop invites participants to work with flowers not as decoration, but as carriers of meaning—gestures of care, memory, renewal, and the quiet optimism often associated with the winter months.

Led by artist Paris Vivianne Panigiri, this hands-on atelier encourages intuitive making over perfection. Using simple hand building techniques such as pinching and slab-building, participants will shape a decorative or functional piece, such as a plate, bowl, wall piece, or small sculptural form, and embellish it with raised, pressed, or gently sculpted floral motifs. The focus is on touch, rhythm, and allowing each piece to develop its own character.

By the end of the workshop, each participant will have created their own unique clay artwork or object and will paint it, adding color and detail to bring the floral forms to life. No prior experience is needed—the workshop is designed to be both grounding and expressive, offering a quiet space to make something meaningful by hand.

🎨 Your ticket includes:

  • All clay and hand building materials

  • Guidance through hand building and surface decoration techniques

  • Acrylic paints to finish your piece

  • Tea and filtered coffee served throughout the workshop

  • Light snacks

Through color, form, and texture, Panigiri’s work communicates beyond words, channeling emotion into tangible expression. Each piece acts as a visual symphony, inviting connection and resonance between artwork and viewer. Her approach to making emphasizes intuition, emotional honesty, and the quiet magic that emerges when materials and feeling move together.
