Green Philly Volunteer Cleanup at Petty Island

​Join Green Philly along with Adventure Aquarium, the Center for Aquatic Sciences, and the New Jersey Natural Lands Trust for a volunteer cleanup at Petty’s Island Preserve. Help protect this unique Delaware River habitat by removing litter and debris while spending a morning outdoors with fellow volunteers.

​Petty’s Island is an important ecological site along the Delaware River, and events like RiverSweep help keep the shoreline and surrounding habitats healthy for wildlife and the community.
Age Requirement: Participants must be 12 years or older

​Volunteers will assist with collecting trash and debris around the preserve as part of the RiverSweep initiative, helping improve water quality and protect the Delaware River ecosystem.
