Green Philly Volunteer Cleanup at Petty Island
Join Green Philly along with Adventure Aquarium, the Center for Aquatic Sciences, and the New Jersey Natural Lands Trust for a volunteer cleanup at Petty’s Island Preserve. Help protect this unique Delaware River habitat by removing litter and debris while spending a morning outdoors with fellow volunteers.
Petty’s Island is an important ecological site along the Delaware River, and events like RiverSweep help keep the shoreline and surrounding habitats healthy for wildlife and the community.
Age Requirement: Participants must be 12 years or older
Volunteers will assist with collecting trash and debris around the preserve as part of the RiverSweep initiative, helping improve water quality and protect the Delaware River ecosystem.
Whether you're passionate about protecting local waterways, looking to volunteer with friends, or simply want to spend time outdoors while making a difference, this is a great opportunity to get involved.
