Join us for a cozy night of live storytelling and listening, inspired by The Moth, the beloved U.S. nonprofit that champions true, personal stories told aloud. Let's take some time to be our authentic selves and connect through our stories!
🎤 Looking for eager storytellers and story-listeners!
No pressure if the spotlight’s not your thing, we still want you there. This is a casual Moth Night - we'll mostly be sitting in small groups and playing storytelling games - no preparation required!
Prefer to just listen? Perfect. Every storyteller needs a kind, curious, and responsive audience. Your presence matters!
Whether you’re ready to be the center of attention or just want to soak in others’ stories, you’ll be part of a welcoming, vibrant community built around laughter, reflection, and human connection.
If you do want to prepare a story in advance, we only have 3 rules:
Stories must be told, not read. Know your story "by heart", not rote memorization. Moth Nights are about connecting with your audience!
Keep your story under 5 minutes.
Make sure your story connects in some way to this month's theme:
GROWING PAINS
Prepare a five-minute story about the ouches of development. Awkward years of trial and error, missing cues, and fumbles. Growing up too fast or too slow. Innocence lost, knowledge gained. We never stop evolving. New chapters, new horizons, new ways to screw everything up. You can only rise from the ashes if you make it through the fire.
🕖 EVENT SCHEDULE
7:00 – 7:30PM — Welcome & Mingle
Arrive, grab a seat, and meet some fellow story lovers.
7:30 – 8:30PM — Storytelling Games
Warm up with fun, casual storytelling prompts in small groups—no performance pressure!
8:30 – 9:00PM — Prepared Performances
Up to 6 storytellers can share a prepared story on this month's theme
9:00PM - 11:00PM — Social Time
Feel free to stick around, connect, and chat about what moved you—or what made you laugh.
