Our Fireside Chat with Ed Hallen and Andrew Bialecki of Klaviyo is being canceled due to the forecast for possible blizzard conditions and 12"+ of snow. Plans are to reschedule it for later in the spring. A message will be shared with everyone when a new day and time are booked.

Ed Hallen MBA '12 and Andrew Bialecki are co-founders of the Boston-based CRM unicorn Klaviyo and will share their story of starting their company 15 years ago out of MIT, what it took to build it into the success story it is today, and give advice for student founders who are building their own startups.

Ed Hallen is a co-founder of Klaviyo and has served as a member of their board of directors since September 2012 and as Chief Strategy Officer since November 2024. Prior to that, Ed held various roles within the Company from September 2012 to July 2016, before returning to the Company in July 2021 as Chief Product Officer. He is also the co-founder of Team Engine, a text-first human resources and operations platform, which he founded in January 2018 and served as Chief Executive Officer until April 2021. Prior to founding Klaviyo, Ed served as Principal at Applied Predictive Technologies, a business analytics software company, from August 2004 to April 2010. Mr. Hallen holds a BS in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia and an MBA from MIT Sloan.
Andrew Bialecki is a co-founder of Klaviyo and has served as a member of their board of directors since September 2012 and as co-Chief Executive Officer since January 2026. Prior to that, Andrew served as Chief Executive Officer from September 2012 to December 2025. Prior to founding Klaviyo, he served as Chief Technology Officer of RockTech, a sales and marketing software company, from April 2011 to June 2012, Senior Engineer at Performable, a marketing software company, from July 2010 to March 2011, and Lead Engineer at Applied Predictive Technologies, a business analytics software company, from September 2007 to June 2010. Andrew holds a BA in Physics, Astronomy and Astrophysics from Harvard University.
