field:work | Regional Dialogue with Andra Winatama [97kobolab] (ID)

​The third of our monthly Regional Dialogues, connecting the 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱:𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 community with artists, organisers, and practitioners from across Southeast Asia.

​For this edition, we’re joined by Andra Winatama from 97kobolab, a small artist-run hub in Jakarta dedicated to sonic and visual art exploration, particularly through live coding, algoraves, and experimental audiovisual performances.

​The session will feature a 20-minute documentary about the collective, offering a glimpse into its activities, the people involved, and the community developing around it.

​Following the screening, Andra will share more about 97kobolab’s practice and experiences organising a space for experimentation and exchange, opening up a conversation about live coding cultures, artist-run initiatives, and the development of creative communities in Indonesia and the wider region.

​Regional Dialogues run monthly across the 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱:𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 takeover, situating Singapore within broader Southeast Asian conversations around media art and creative technology. Sessions are run physically with invited regional practitioners presenting remotely.
