Startup Conversations in the Couve - Apr
April Speaker is Micahel Wallace of Perfect Company
Mike Wallace is Co-Founder and CEO of Perfect Company, where he's building smart kitchen technology that's transforming how restaurants operate — from AI-guided prep and production management to contactless pickup platforms that reduce costs, cut food waste, and boost profitability for fast food and food service operators.
Mike's career spans four decades of building products people love. He got his start as a game developer at The Learning Company and Electronic Arts — recruited by EA's Trip Hawkins — where he co-created Robot Odyssey and shipped titles on the Amiga. He went on to co-found Pure Imagination, an invention and licensing company that developed over $500M in retail products in partnership with Mattel, Leapfrog, Crayola, WowWee, and others.
A Stanford Computer Science alum, Mike brings a rare combination of deep technical roots and entrepreneurial range — from toys and video games to consumer IoT devices and now enterprise restaurant software.
About Startup Conversations
Each month, Startup Conversations brings together the local founder community for an inside look at what it really takes to build a company. Our featured founder shares their story — how it started, where they are today, and what's ahead — including the real challenges standing between them and their goals. From there, host Dave Barcos digs deeper in a candid interview before opening the floor to audience Q&A, giving attendees a rare chance to ask the questions that matter most to them.
It's a format that consistently sparks meaningful conversations and genuine connections across our regional startup community. You won't want to miss it.
