Climate Chronicles Storytelling Public Circle
True stories about climate, identity, and home — told live by immigrant women in New York City.
About the Event
You are warmly invited to a special summer afternoon of storytelling and community!
Come out to Governors Island and support a phenomenal group of immigrant women as they share powerful, deeply personal narratives of climate justice, identity, resilience, and connection to the earth.
This event is designed for anyone interested in listening to diverse perspectives and connecting with the experiences of immigrant women in our community. Through storytelling, we will explore how climate change intersects with everyday life, belonging, and hope for the future.
Gathering on the island provides the perfect natural backdrop for listening, reflecting, and celebrating these vital voices. We would love to have your energy and presence in the circle with us!
This project is made possible thanks to the generous support of Con Edison. Their support sends a strong message: that immigrant women’s voices matter, and that they belong at the center of the fight for climate justice and a better future for all.
What to expect:
Live personal stories by immigrant women from New York City
Personal stories exploring climate change through lived experience
An intimate, welcoming atmosphere inside a historic house on Governors Island
Time to connect with the storytellers and explore the space afterward
This event is free and open to all. No background in climate or storytelling required — just curiosity and an open heart.
