​📅 Day 1: Docker Foundations & First Containers

​Who Should Join:
Start from zero, or wherever you are. Day 1 is all about getting comfortable with Docker. You’ll learn what containers are, why they matter, and how to build, run, and manage your first apps in containers. No prior experience needed. Bring your laptop, curiosity, and we’ll handle the rest.


Why Docker + AI?
Most AI tools and models today (like LLMs, image generators, or classifiers) run inside Docker containers. Learning Docker means you can package, share, and deploy your AI projects reliably whether locally or in the cloud. Day 2 will show you how.


What You’ll Do:

• ​Understand containers vs. VMs and why Docker is a game-changer for devs and AI builders

• ​Install and configure Docker on your machine (we’ll help if you get stuck)

• ​Run your first containers from web servers to pre-built AI model images

• ​Write your own Dockerfile to containerize a simple app (yes, we’ll include an AI-flavored example)

• ​Learn how to persist data (like model weights) and expose ports (for APIs or UIs)

• ​Wrap up with a mini challenge: package and run a tiny AI script in a container all by yourself
