About Event

As capital markets, payments and FX infrastructure move onchain the question is: Can the City of London move fast enough to keep its place among the world’s leading financial centres?

Global connectivity is reshaping finance faster than ever. With capital markets hubs from NYC to Singapore competing for the same tokenised assets, the choices made in London over the next few years will determine whether we lead the transition or watch it happen from afar.

We’re hosting an evening of expert panels addressing the real-world implementation of blockchain and digital asset technology in the UK with representatives from the Digital Asset industry, financial institutions, public sector and regulators.

The evening will conclude with networking drinks and the opportunity to connect with advisers and industry leaders in the UK.

The Panels:

1 - Capital Markets: Opportunities for the City
Can tokenised equities and other onchain products revitalise London's position as a premier capital markets hub?

  • Tim Meggs, Co-Founder and CEO, LO:TECH

  • Darren Jordan, Chief Commercial Officer, Komainu

  • Madush Gupta, Councilor, City of London Corp and Markets Innovation and Strategy Leader, Lloyds Banking Group

2 - The Future of Tokenised Cash in the UK
GBP stablecoins, tokenised deposits, and CBDCs in an evolving regulatory landscape.

  • Ryan Hayward, MD of Digital Assets, Barclays

  • Sasha Mills, Executive Director of Financial Market Infrastructure, Bank of England

  • Gareth Davies, Member of Parliament

3 - FX Trading Moves Onchain
How blockchain infrastructure is transforming FX markets, settlement, and liquidity.

  • Simone Cortese, Chief Product Officer, Fnality

  • Brian Nolan, Co-Founder & CEO, Finteum

Hosted by the UK chapter of the Digital Assets Association, a global non-profit association founded in Singapore in 2023, advancing institutional engagement with blockchain and real-world asset tokenisation, with 150+ members globally. Co-hosted by Komainu.
