About Event

Robotics is poised to become one of the defining industries of the coming decade. Robots are no longer confined to factory assembly lines – they’re moving into logistics, healthcare, service roles, and even our homes . As robots leave controlled environments and enter everyday life, success will hinge not just on smarter software, but on breakthroughs in hardware design, manufacturing, and real-world reliability. In other words, the next generation of robotics will be won by those who innovate in how robots are built, not just how they are programmed.

Allonic: A Breakthrough in How Robots Are Built

Enter Allonic, one of Hungary’s most exciting young robotics teams. A spin-off from Pázmány University, Allonic is building truly cutting-edge technology – and they’re doing it right here in Hungary. At its core, Allonic’s mission is to create advanced robots that mimic the graceful, delicate motions of the human body without driving up complexity or cost . In fact, the team has developed a robotic hand using a novel manufacturing method that essentially “grows” the robot’s muscles and joints around a skeletal frame . This proprietary technique (dubbed 3D Tissue Braiding) robotically weaves high-strength fibers around 3D-printed structures, so the end result looks and moves uncannily like muscles and tendons wrapped around bones . The payoff? Allonic can build fully functional, human-like robot parts in a single automated process – with no intricate assembly required.

Key advantages of Allonic’s approach include:

  • Faster prototyping: Going from an idea to a working robot prototype in hours instead of weeks .

  • Lower costs: A streamlined, automated production that slashes manufacturing complexity and eliminates much of the traditional supply chain .

  • Human-like performance: “Tissue”-braided robots that are soft to the touch yet strong and durable – effectively giving machines tendon-like flexibility with industrial strength .

Allonic’s innovation has already started turning heads globally. The company was selected as a finalist for the Formnext 2025 Startup Award for its transformative 3D Tissue Braiding platform . And according to Allonic, their second-generation production system is 5× faster and 3× more detailed than the first – with their life-like robotic hand being “just the beginning” of what’s to come .

Join Us for an Evening on the Future of Robotics

Our upcoming First Monday event will dive into what’s next in robotics – and Allonic sits right at that intersection of hardware, manufacturing, and real-world deployment. Come hear Benedek Tasi, Allonic’s CEO and founder, share how world-class robotics hardware can be developed from Hungary and scaled globally. We’ll explore the trends shaping the next decade of robotics, learn what it takes to turn deep-tech innovations into scalable products, and get an inside look at how Allonic is unlocking new possibilities in robot design. This will be a high-energy, forward-looking session for founders, investors, engineers, and anyone excited about technology’s cutting edge. And of course, we’ll have some exciting announcements at the event – consider this a teaser of big news to be revealed. Join us for an inspiring evening and a glimpse into the future of robotics!

Schedule:

6:00 PM - 6:30 PM - Registration
6:30 PM - 6:45 PM - Introduction
