Possible Futures: Crafting resistance with zine making
Join Identity 2.0 and DAIR for ‘Possible Futures: Crafting resistance with zine making’ - an online workshop mapping our everyday moments of resistance to AI.
Together, we'll find new ways to critically engage with and resist the unwanted and pervasive incursion of artificial intelligence into various aspects of our lives.
Maybe you already have a bunch of ways to resist AI that you’re eager to share? Or want to be inspired and learn from others? Or just love zines?
Over two hours, we will use zine-making as a tool to explore, share, and archive modes of resistance. By the end of the session you would have learnt a bit about the history of zine making, discussed modes of resistance and made your own zine 🚀
No experience in AI or zine making is necessary. All you need is a computer enabled device that can open Miro and Butter. If this is going to be an issue, then please get in touch!
The workshop draws inspiration from Identity 2.0’s zine ‘AI-Z: Conversations about resistance and genAI’ which is the first guest zine on DAIR.
