About Event

Choosing the founder path is bold and it’s not always glamorous. Join RWIT for a candid virtual conversation with three founders bringing different perspectives across retail & tech: Alice Kim (PerfectDD), Nancy Rhodes (Alternew), and Kate Sargent (KSJ Consulting).

Our bad-ass panelists:

Kate Sargent has coached more than 1,400 professionals and held senior People leadership roles at brands such as Method, Apple, The North Face, and The Citizenry. Her work spans scaling retail organizations, leading executive searches, and supporting leaders through growth, change, and transition. She is also the creator of The Career Mixtape newsletter, a widely read resource for leadership insight and career strategy.

Nancy Rhodes is the Founder & CEO of Alternew, a fashion-tech company using AI to help brands scale tailoring, warranty, and repair services, like an OpenTable for fashion care. She spent nearly two decades in design, creating for icons like Beyoncé and Kenneth Cole to mass retailers like Costco, which gave her a unique perspective on how authenticity and innovation shape customer loyalty. Her work and insights have been featured in Bloomberg, Vogue, and other leading outlets.

Alice Kim is the Founder and CEO of PerfectDD (pronounced “perfected”), a fuller-bust inclusive clothing brand designed with patented technology that prevents gaping and ensures a tailored fit. With over two decades in the fashion industry, she held executive roles in merchandising and licensing at DVF, Prada, and Victoria’s Secret before launching PerfectDD in 2021. Alice holds three U.S. patents for her fit innovations and has been recognized with Oprah Daily’s Editor’s Choice Best Button Down and a recent featured in The New York Times. Her mission is to empower women to love their bodies by designing clothes that truly fit, while remaining committed to ethical production, sustainability, and manufacturing in the United States.
