From Lab to Venture: Co-creating Startups
How does a scientific idea become a biotech company? What does the early founder journey actually look like, and what support structures exist in Basel to help researchers take that first step?
This panel brings together three perspectives from within the Basel ecosystem: a startup founder, a venture-building specialist, and an incubator representative. Together, they will walk through how ideas are shaped, how teams form, how early funding works, and what it takes to move from academic research to a real company.
The session is designed for everyone but particularly MSc students, PhD candidates, and postdocs who are curious about entrepreneurship but are not sure where to start. This is not a pitch event. It is an open conversation about what the path actually looks like.
