Hidden Stories of Abstraction with ArtsClub
On Friday, December 5th, join Women of Culture in collaboration with ArtsClub Studios for a hands on studio night in which you will explore the fearless world of the female Abstract Expressionists and then create work in their style!
The Abstract Expressionist movement was significantly shaped by extraordinary women artists like Helen Frankenthaler, Lee Krasner, Elaine de Kooning and Joan Mitchell — artists who defied institutional barriers to create ground-breaking work that helped define one of the most influential art movements of the 20th century.
First, you’ll learn about their stories and enduring impact on the art world - then, inspired by their bold, expressive approaches, you will have the chance to create your own paintings in the same liberated, intuitive spirit, guided by members of the ArtsClub staff.
Why Join This Experience:
• Step inside a working artist studio + engage with art in process (not just on display)
• Connect with like-minded creative women in a small, intimate setting
