About Event

A fireside conversation with astronaut and MIT professor Jeffrey Hoffman

Five Space Shuttle missions. Four spacewalks. The first Hubble Space Telescope servicing mission. And decades later, a role helping lead MOXIE, the first technology demonstration to produce oxygen from the atmosphere of another planet.

During Utah Hard Tech Week, astronaut and MIT professor Jeffrey Hoffman joins OxEon Energy for a conversation about what it takes to turn ambitious engineering into technology that works.

We’ll talk about lessons from human spaceflight, the development and success of MOXIE on Mars, OxEon’s role in that mission, and what it takes to move breakthrough technologies from first-of-a-kind demonstrations toward real-world scale.

Following the conversation and audience Q&A, guests will have the opportunity to tour OxEon Energy and see where fuel and energy technologies are being developed and scaled today.
