Thinking in Music — An AI Jam at the Library
This isn’t just another music class—it’s a once-in-a-lifetime cultural adventure.
Imagine teaming up to create original songs together in real time, using AI-powered music tools. It’s like having a personal recording studio, an orchestra, and a personal music teacher all rolled into one.
By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a brand-new song co-created with fellow participants (or not).
Coolest. Workshop. Ever.
Create music together in real time with AI.
What
Discover what happens when a whistle, a rubber chicken, and a violin collide with artificial intelligence in this interactive music and technology workshop led by conductor and technologist Paul Henry Smith.
Participants whistle, clap, and experiment with sound as AI tools transform these contributions into Broadway-style riffs, orchestral scherzos, and unexpected sonic landscapes, culminating in a mini-concert built from the day’s creations.
No musical training is required—anyone 12 or over can participate.

Pair up with a fellow participant (or bring a friend) and create together using AI.
Make your own sounds : hum, beatbox, tap, sing, or play. – Rubber chicken provided.
