Altera Meetup: Mastering Editorial Image Generation
What happens when someone with 17 years behind a camera picks up generative tools?
Elspeth Coleman is an art director, photographer, filmmaker, and fashion designer who has spent a decade shooting commercial, editorial, and narrative work professionally. She brings that same discipline to AI, using it as a tool rather than an autonomous agent. Every image and every garment in her collections is conceived and directed deliberately, with complete control over the concept from start to finish.
Then Tyler Sztuka, Claude Ambassador, flips the lens entirely: instead of using someone else's AI tool, he'll show you how to build your own with Claude Code. No engineering background needed, this is a live look at a real system he built for himself.
Who it's for
Photographers, art directors, designers, and filmmakers who want to bring generative tools into an existing creative practice without giving up authorship, whether you're already experimenting or still deciding if it belongs in your work at all.
What you'll leave with
How to direct AI tools with the same intention you'd bring to a shoot
Where AI-assisted image making fits inside a real commercial and editorial workflow
How to build your own AI-powered systems instead of renting someone else's tools
A real look at how Claude Code works for non-technical creatives, no engineering background needed
A working example of a personal content-production system, and enough to start building your own

About Tyler
Tyler Sztuka is the founder of SZD Labs, an applied-AI firm that gets companies out of AI adoption purgatory and makes the technology pay. He spent seven years in industrial manufacturing at one of the world's largest agriculture companies, traveling to global sites to implement new technology and make sure it delivered the value vendors promised on the shop floor. He now does that same work with AI at two altitudes: with leadership, tracking where AI spend is actually returning value across the organization, and with the non-technical domain experts who know the work cold but hit the technical barrier built into these tools. He is also the Anthropic Claude Ambassador for Atlanta, where he leads training and education on the Claude ecosystem.
RSVP now and bring someone who's ready to build. Food and drinks included in ticket price.
