Event Details:

11:30 AM – 12:20 PM: Chat with Rahul Patil
12:20 PM - 1:00 PM: Networking

Rahul Patil is the Chief Technology Officer at Anthropic, an AI lab whose research and products put safety at the frontier. As a public benefit corporation, Anthropic is dedicated to ensuring the world safely makes the transition through transformative AI.

At Anthropic, Rahul oversees the engineering organization across inference, product, infrastructure, and security as the company scales to meet growing enterprise demand worldwide. He brings over 20 years of experience building and maintaining industry-leading infrastructure for some of the world’s largest technology platforms.

Prior to joining Anthropic, Rahul served as CTO of Stripe, where he led the technical organization for a platform processing more than a trillion dollars annually.

Earlier in his career, Rahul held senior leadership roles at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Amazon Web Services, and Microsoft, where he built critical infrastructure services used by businesses around the world today. He holds an M.B.A. from the University of Washington and an M.S. in computer science from Arizona State University.

In this candid -1 conversation, we’ll go deep into Rahul’s earliest days - before scale, before clarity, and before the current wave of AI momentum. We’ll explore what it takes to build and lead technical teams working on cutting-edge systems, how to make architectural and research decisions under extreme uncertainty, and how long-term thinking shapes both technology and culture.

We’ll also discuss building responsible AI at the frontier, navigating fast-moving technology, and what founders and engineers should internalize when working on problems where the stakes and the unknowns, are unusually high.

This session is designed for builders who want to understand the thinking behind the systems shaping the future, not just the outcomes. Expect first-principles reasoning, hard-earned lessons, and perspectives that come from being close to the edge of what’s possible.

Registration and approval are required, and space is limited. Please RSVP soon.
