Boston Alt Cloud Meetup (March 2026)
Join us for Datum's first Alt Cloud meetup in Boston. Our goal is to bring together modern, specialized operators (here's a definition and list), learn from each other about technical and business topics, and build some community.
Working with Will (StepFunction) and Alex (Encoded) we've put together an evening around the theme of "Safety Third!"

Mutual Aid is a chance for folks attending the meetup to ask the group for some help. We'll have notecards available when you enter to jot down whatever you need. Who knows, we might be able to make it happen!
Didi Dotan is VP of Engineering at Cisco and former CTO & Co-Founder of Oort (acquired in 2023). With 90+ patents, a background as Chief Architect at RSA, and a PhD in Epidemiology, he brings deep expertise in cybersecurity and identity. He’ll talk auth, trust, and agents — from identity threat detection and machine-to-machine trust to designing security systems that can handle AI at scale.
Jarrett Polcari is Lead Detection Engineer at Nebulock, an AI-driven cybersecurity startup building an autonomous threat hunting platform. Previously at HubSpot and Klaviyo, he scaled detection programs. He’ll share where open source is thriving, where it’s under pressure, and why it matters.
