Waste into Wonder 4:00 PM Session
Waste into Wonder, presented by Rainbow SD and Squirmy Friends Club, is a kid-friendly, craft-centered exploration of how everyday scraps can become something beautiful. Families will follow the journey from kitchen scraps to compost, worms to healthy soil, and seeds to flowers that support bees and butterflies.
Kids can adopt a worm, learn about composting, make a seed-filled creation to plant at home, and decorate their own bee or butterfly garden marker as a reminder that even small actions can help something new grow.
Through making, playing, and getting a little messy, Waste into Wonder invites kids to see themselves as part of the cycle—and discover how food waste can become healthy soil, thriving gardens, and habitats for pollinators.
