Workshop: Fast Draft Rom-Com Novellas (1 of 2)

​This is a hands-on workshop. We're going to fast draft a novella — together, live.

​I'll bring a plan and a structure for how to set up and execute a speed draft. You bring your story idea and your special sauce. By the end of this session, you'll have a rough novella draft that we'll return to edit tomorrow using a second-draft editorial workflow.

​The focus is on speed and setup for speed. We'll cover how to plan a fast draft, how to configure Sudowrite for maximum output, and how to keep momentum when things get messy. Alternative plans and strategies for various AI-control comfort levels will be discussed, so whether you like to steer tightly or let the AI run, there's a path for you.

​Be prepared to make something you hate. That's not a warning — it's the point. The most important thing you'll take away from this session is the knowledge that you can do this. Once you know that, everything changes.

​This is Day 1 of a two-part workshop. Day 2 will focus on a second-draft editorial workflow to shape what you've drafted into something you're proud of.
