About Event

Discover the future of fashion at Future Threads, a unique runway celebrating creativity, sustainability and the next generation of designers.

Part of Manchester Fashion Week 2026, this inspiring showcase features original collections created by young people from Salford Youth Zone and Hideout Youth Zone, transforming donated deadstock fabrics and surplus textiles into innovative, contemporary fashion.

Working alongside industry mentors, these emerging creatives have reimagined materials that would otherwise go to waste, proving that the future of fashion is as much about purpose as it is about style.

Immediately following the Future Threads showcase, enjoy Sewing for Strangers -a special runway presentation by Luke, from The Great British Sewing Bee. This moving collection celebrates the power of creativity, community and craftsmanship, bringing together fashion with stories of generosity, connection and social impact.

Whether you're passionate about sustainable fashion, keen to support emerging talent, or simply looking for an inspiring day out, this is a runway not to be missed.
