Netca Series #2 - /metrology
โ๐ Measure Twice, Cut Once!
โNothing is as devastating as when a batch of parts comes back from the shop and nothing fits. Measurement is what separates a working prototype from a part you can actually manufacture.
โAbout this session
โThis is an interactive session. Tim Henthorne and Brian Kelly will walk through GD&T callouts and show you how to measure each one on real parts. Bring a part if you have one, we'll measure it together.
โAbout the speakers
โTim Henthorne is a Professional Engineer (BC) and AME with a BASc in mechanical engineering from UBC and grad work in failure analysis. Across 50 years he was Principal Engineer at Kodak Graphics (formerly Creo), senior engineer at Etalim, and now runs Helios Engineering with clients including Sanctuary AI, Kardium, and Exro Technologies.
โBrian Kelly is a Red Seal machinist who helped pioneer world class downhill bikes at Cove Bikes, with additional experience at Zaber and Triumph. He owns a bicycle brand and 3 Amigos Manufacturing, and is Netca's on-site machinist partner.

โAbout the Netca Series
โA recurring program for hardware builders in Vancouver who are ready to move past the go/nogo guage. Past and upcoming sessions cover PCB design, metrology, welding, 3D CAD, embedded coding, and mechanical prototyping.
โAbout Netca
โNetca is a co-manufacturing workspace for serious hardware builders in Vancouver. We have access to machinery, tools, and on-site Red Seal machinist. Everything you need to go from idea to physical prototype under one roof.
