​Dr Donald Weir is CEO of Zenobē, a leading UK based scale up deploying battery based solutions to power grid and transport decarbonisation. He studied at Cambridge (Natural Sciences), Imperial College and Oxford where he was a Research Fellow. His international energy sector experience includes oil & gas, power generation, electricity network optimisation & smart metering all in the context of the energy transition. He has held senior roles at Siemens, E.ON, thyssenkrupp & Statkraft, focusing on growing global engineering businesses, executing large capital projects and developing high‑performing teams. He also advises venture capital start ups including low loss cables & steerable transformers.
