Contemporary Dance Co-Creation
Contemporary Dance Co-creation
An expressive movement practice for all bodies and all levels, shaped by who shows up.
Contemporary Dance Co-creation is a 90 minute movement experience designed to help you release stress, reconnect with your body, and express yourself in a supportive, inclusive space.
Each class is shaped by the people who arrive, so no two sessions are ever the same.
Whether you are a professional dancer or a complete beginner, this format meets you where you are. It has been crafted and refined through Apollo Halley’s 25 year global dance career to be welcoming, effective, and deeply uplifting for every body.
🌌 Your Journey
Phase 1: Body Inventory
🌱 Gently arrive in your body from the feet up, warming up at your own pace and reconnecting with how you feel today.
Phase 2: Mirrored Movement
🤲 Stand in a circle, share simple movements, and mirror each other to build trust, presence, and group rhythm.
Phase 3: Impulse Creation
🧠 Co-create an easy to follow sequence together, using repetition and counting to support memory, focus, and brain body connection.
Phase 4: Experience the Dance
🎵 Let go of counting and let the music lead. Explore the shared sequence in different tempos, with space to perform, play, or simply experience the movement in your own way. You always have permission to rest or observe if you feel overwhelmed.
