SEO Open Mic Night 2026
You know that feeling. The room is a little dim, drinks in hand, a small stage at the front. Someone walks up, no introduction, and just... starts. A song, a story, a joke. The crowd leans in. You don't know what's coming next, and that's exactly why you can't look away.
There's something about that atmosphere that makes people brave. The informality of it. The fact that nobody's wearing a badge or giving a keynote. Just a person, a mic, and something they wanted to say.
That's what we're building — but for SEO people.
Four minutes. No slides. No title, no company name required. Just you and whatever you feel like sharing that evening — a story, a lesson, a mistake, a moment you've never said out loud at a conference. You don't even have to prepare. Come in, feel the room, and decide when you're ready. Or don't get up at all. Some of the best open mic nights are experienced from the back of the room, drink in hand, just taking it all in.
A few prompts if you need them:
A win, a loss, or something in between
A moment you said "I don't know" and it was the right call
Something the industry keeps getting wrong
A story you'd only tell over drinks
Anything real — that's the only requirement
The rules:
Four minutes, no more
No slides, no Q&A, no screen behind you
No selling yourself or anything else — the mic gets unplugged
No judgment in this room
"I don't know" is a complete answer
"You're wrong" is a valid contribution
You don't have to work in SEO to show up. If you're curious about the field, the people in it, what it actually feels like to do this work — you're welcome.
SEO got you here. The rest is just human.
