​At Avenue, we aim to help undergraduate women interested in learning about venture capital and entrepreneurship find community and the resources they need.

​For our very first session, we are excited to have Daniel Paredes from Sierra Ventures.

​Daniel joined Sierra Ventures in 2023 bringing a breadth of venture capital experience and corporate strategy expertise. He focuses on sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities across the East Coast and Pacific Northwest, with deep interest in cybersecurity, enterprise SaaS, AI/ML, DevOps, and vertical applications.

​Daniel began his career at Microsoft, where he worked across the company’s core businesses in finance and strategy roles, gaining firsthand experience operating inside large-scale technology platforms. That foundation informs his perspective as an investor in enterprise and infrastructure software.

​He holds a BA in Finance from the University of Washington and an MBA from Columbia Business School. Outside of investing, Daniel is passionate about music and is an avid sneaker collector.
