HerChain Design Lab (From Ideas to Interfaces )
Who Is This For?
The HerChain Design Lab is designed for women who are interested in digital design, technology, creativity, and building practical skills they can apply to personal projects, businesses, startups, and digital products.
No prior Figma experience is required. Whether you’re completely new to design or have some experience and want to strengthen your skills, you’re welcome.
About the Design Lab
Join HerChain for a practical and beginner-friendly Figma Design Lab focused on introducing participants to the fundamentals of digital product and interface design.
This is a hands-on learning experience, not just a theory-based session. Participants will learn alongside an experienced facilitator, explore Figma’s core features, and work on a practical project to create their own digital interface.
The Design Lab is also an opportunity to learn, experiment, connect, and build alongside other women interested in technology and digital skills.
What You’ll Learn
Throughout the session, participants will explore:
* Figma and its interface
* Colours and visual styling
* Alignment, spacing, and layout
* Images and design elements
* Basic UI/UX design principles
* Components and reusable elements
* Creating a simple digital interface
* Basic design workflow and exporting
🖥️ Hands-On Design Challenge
This won’t be a sit-and-listen workshop.
Participants will follow the facilitator through a practical Figma project, creating a simple mobile app or website interface from scratch.
You’ll have the opportunity to apply what you learn throughout the session and leave with a design project you created yourself.
