Co-Creating AI Futures for the Global Majority: AI Frameworks Validation Webinar
This validation webinar forms part of Qhala’s South–South Collaboration Programme convened alongside the India AI Impact Summit. The session will bring together contributors, partners, and stakeholders to review and provide feedback on a set of draft frameworks developed to support coordinated, context-responsive AI development across Africa and other Global Majority contexts.
During the session, participants will review and validate six draft frameworks covering:
AI and data governance models
Cross-border and government–researcher data sharing
Research and innovation pathways
Use-case driven AI ecosystem development
AI talent coordination
Compute and infrastructure coordination
The discussion will focus on reviewing the clarity, feasibility, and relevance of the frameworks, with particular attention to their applicability to real-world policy, research and ecosystem-building challenges. Participant feedback will directly inform final refinements ahead of publication and dissemination.
This is a working session intended to strengthen the substance and usability of the frameworks and ensure they reflect lived experience, practical constraints and diverse Global Majority perspectives.
Audience: Framework contributors, ecosystem partners, policymakers, researchers, and practitioners working on AI and data governance, research and ecosystem development.
