💛 Note on Accessibility
This event is free and open to everyone!
We believe opportunities to create, connect, and participate in conversations about the issues that affect our communities should be accessible to all.
Registration is required, but you're welcome to stay for the full afternoon or drop in for a little while.
This gathering is made possible with funding from Ocean Wise.
💫 About the Event
Feeling overwhelmed by the state of the planet? You're not the only one. 🌎💛
Between climate change, environmental destruction, and the feeling that those in power aren't doing enough, it can be hard to know what to do with all the worry, frustration, and uncertainty.
Sometimes we need somewhere to put those feelings.
And sometimes, that somewhere is art.
Join JB Sithebe and local artist Revel Creations for an afternoon of creativity, conversation, and community as we explore environmental concerns through the hands-on art of screen printing.
Together, we'll create custom screen-printed patches from scratch, using art as a way to express what matters to us and give our feelings a little room to breathe.
Along the way, we'll learn about local organizations working toward a better future and discover ways to get involved in environmental and social causes we care about.
Whether you're feeling frustrated, hopeful, overwhelmed, or simply curious, there's room for you here.
You don't need to have all the answers. You don't need to be an activist. And you definitely don't need to know how to screen print.
Just bring yourself, your creativity, and the belief that even small actions can make a difference.
Because caring about the world can feel heavy. We don't have to carry it alone.
