Double Talk Double Talk Opening Reception

​Join us Saturday, September 12th for a celebration of Jimmy and Julien Krozel's father-son collaborative show, Double Talk, Double Talk. We'll have hors d'oeuvres, drinks, and both artists in attendance.

​'Double Talk, Double Talk' is on view from September 2nd through September 26th.

​Jimmy and Julien Krozel are a father-and-son painting duo working side-by-side in the studio, each voice retaining its own character while creating something neither could achieve alone. Jimmy, influenced by the Bay Area Figurative Art movement, works from a quieter rhythm, studying a painting, letting it reveal itself before the next mark, with close attention to composition and structure. Julien's approach is instinctive and fearless, embracing risk through energetic mark-making and controlled chaos, with faces and hands becoming vehicles for spontaneity and emotion. Some works in the show were completed by one artist alone, others emerged through a shared process where authorship becomes intentionally fluid, two generations listening, responding, and challenging one another on the same canvas.
