International Women's Day Dinner: The Future of the Women In Tech Taskforce
The Women in Tech Policy Network is convening a small group of senior women working at the forefront of UK tech policy for a private dinner conversation in London.
Late last year, the government announced it would be launching the Women in Tech Taskforce to champion diversity in the tech sector.
We are really pleased the government has launched this and we want to give our members the opportunity to feed into the government's diversity in tech initiative as it takes shape.
Over an intimate 3 course dinner at Artist Residence, London, we will bring together experienced policy leaders to explore what this taskforce should be, and how we can collectively ensure it succeeds.
The evening will be a candid discussion focused on:
What we want a government Women in Tech Taskforce to meaningfully achieve.
The priorities that would have the greatest impact for women across the tech ecosystem.
How policy leaders, institutions, and networks (including our own) can best support the taskforce to deliver real change
We are also working to secure representation from DSIT/the taskforce at the dinner - TBC. Additionally, we will be circulating a paper with Liz Kendall and her team based on the conversation at this dinner to feed into their development of the taskforce.
Who this dinner is for
Senior women leading on technology policy in the UK (across government, arm’s-length bodies, industry, civil society, and research) who bring deep expertise and a system-level perspective.
