Get It Right with Remote Jobs
People overcomplicate getting a remote job.
If you want to work remotely, read this.
Fortunately, remote work has greatly worked for me in the last few years - not without its fails and wins..
I’ve seen who gets remote work and who gets ignored.
The difference is rarely talent.
Recently in my mentorship sessions, most of my meentees hope for success with remote jobs this year and since increasing my remote work productivity is one of my goals this year ;
Here is what I have to share :
Avoid this
❌ Treating flexibility like low accountability
❌ Framing remote work as a lifestyle perk
❌ Obsessing over tools instead of outcomes
❌ Assuming good work speaks for itself
Do this instead
✅ Show you can deliver without supervision
✅ Make your impact obvious and documented
✅ Reduce risk for your manager before you ask
✅ Set clear ownership and written expectations
✅ Measure output, deadlines, and quality
Lesson:
Remote work success comes from consistency and ownership, not comfort or complexity.
I will be sharing more tips on how to get it right with Remote Work on Friday.
