Clothing Swap & Stitch Social
Join us for an evening of swapping, stitching, and socializing as part of Toronto Climate Week! This isn’t your typical clothing swap because we believe building community and sharing skills are also essential aspects of a circular economy.
For the clothing swap, we suggest bringing about 10 items (clothes, shoes, or accessories), preferably seasonal items, clean and in good condition - think something you’d be happy to receive! Any items leftover at the end of the swap will be donated to New Circles.
For the mending lab, we encourage you to bring an item or two in need of minor repair, perhaps a sock that needs darning, a button that needs to be reattached or jeans requiring a small patch. If you find something at the swap that needs a small adjustment, we may be able to help with that too!
6:30 - 7:15 Welcome & ice-breaker activity
7:15 Clothing swap starts
7:30 Mending lab starts
