

LCOY Canada 2025
The Local Conference of Youth (LCOY) Canada is an official youth-led conference under the YOUNGO constituency to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). It empowers youth (ages 15–35) to shape climate dialogue in Canada and represent youth voices on the global stage at events like the Conference of Youth (COY) and the Conference of the Parties (COP). Each year, there is a hybrid national youth climate conference, creating a space for: Education on climate policy, energy, and sustainability, Youth-led climate research, networking, and community building, Drafting a national youth policy statement that feeds into the global youth position at COY 30 and COP 30.This year, LCOY Canada will focus on: Canada’s energy situation Canada’s 2035 Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) Renewable energy alternatives and innovations Climate finance and climate justice Youth in decision-making and accountability.
