About Event

Hi friends!

We're back with another IRL event of Brunswick+Tech!

Location: Balam Balam Place | Room G01
Day/Time: Friday 27th of March 2026, 8am - 9.30am
Theme: Jobs Not To Be Done: practical, responsible scoping in the age of AI

"JTBD is a classic framework for capturing product requirements. But, when building with non-deterministic tech we need a different scoping mindset with more nuance to both get quality results, and to build responsible products.

I'm going to talk about JNTBD, why they're different from simply saying something is out of scope, and show how my team are using them in AI at Octopus Deploy. We'll finish with a mini workshop to help build the JNTBD mindset muscle."

Delivered by Brunswick+Tech's very own: Gin Atkins

Schedule:
7.45am - 8.00am: Guests arrive, network & grab a coffee
8.00am - 9.00am: Talk and mini-workshop
9.00am - 9.30am: Casual Hangs

Free Coffee & Pastries kindly provided by our sponsors We Are Eight & Earthrise

What we're about:
A neighbourhood network for founders, product people, designers and engineers building the next wave of digital products & ideas in and around Brunswick.

Born over coffee, this community connects locals working across tech, SaaS and product, from early-stage startups to mature companies and everything in between.

Our Goal:
To create an open, supportive space for the builders, dreamers and doers shaping the future of technology... no pitches, no ego, just connection and sharing of ideas.

Come hang out, bring a mate and let's make Brunswick a place where tech and community collide.

We respectfully acknowledge the Kulin Nation as sovereign custodians of the lands on which we work and live. We extend our respects to ancestors and elders past, present and emerging, and to all First Nations people.
