About Event

Join us for a PNW Climate Week panel on how AI and robotics are shaping the future of sustainable agriculture.

The conversation will focus on where these technologies are already being deployed, what problems they can realistically solve, and what barriers remain for adoption in the field — from cost and infrastructure to environmental impact and grower needs.

Speakers include:

  • Austin Guyette, Partner at Voyager Capital and board observer for Carbon Robotics, an agriculture-tech startup building the AI-powered LaserWeeder

  • Audrey Jen, Senior Product Manager, Software & Deep Learning at Carbon Robotics, working on the AI-powered LaserWeeder

  • Kyle Johnson, Ph.D. candidate at the UW Allen School whose research focuses on battery-free microrobots, low-power robotics, wireless sensing, and autonomous systems.

  • Richard Wurden, Co-founder & CTO of Aigen, a company building solar-powered robotics for regenerative agriculture

  • Zhihan Zhang, Ph.D. candidate at the UW Allen School whose research explores sustainable AI systems, AI agents, sustainable electronics, and lifecycle assessment

The event will include a moderated panel discussion, audience Q&A, and open networking.

Schedule:
2:00–2:15pm — Check-in
2:15–3:15pm — Panel discussion and Q&A
